congratulations, you have asthma.

congratulations, you have asthma.

this weekend was eventful. first, i graduated. second, i started having chest pains and went to the emergency room. third, a chest x-ray and an ekg showed that my heart looked normal (…and exhale). fourth, the doctor prescribed me an inhaler and clayton now calls me fat girl.

so, all the excitement leading up to graduation kind of melted into worry, followed by extreme relief. the doctor’s guess is that i developed a bronchial reaction to all the pollen, etc. that covers every square inch of disgusting tallahassee. hopefully, the tightness in my chest will go away when i get back to tampa. i’m bummed because i can’t run anymore. the last time i tried to run, i almost passed out because i couldn’t catch my breath. it’s scary to think that i could fall over on the side of road and just lay there until someone drives by and notices me. translation: running resumes close to home (with inhaler in hand) in tampa.

amidst the madness, however, i did walk across the stage in my cap and gown and shake t.k.’s hand. i’m proud of myself and my magna cum laude and i don’t care who knows it.

i’m using these last few days in tallahassee to do all the things i’ve wanted to do but haven’t. monday night tori, wes, clayton, and i went to jazz night at the warehouse. smoky club + my 95-year old lung capacity wasn’t the best combination, but it was still very cool. last night we went to a.j.’s, today clayton and i ate lunch at 1 fresh stir fry, and tonight we are going to cafe cabernet. my last week here could very well be one of my favorites.
