Get the FDA on the Phone

I’m a writer. And not in the in-my-spare-time, when-I-need-to-use-profanity-privately kind of way. I am a writer in a totally legitimate, business meeting on the fifth floor, “what are your rates?” kind of way.
A few weeks ago I landed my very first freelance writing gig. I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that someone has offered to pay for my writing. This idea lodged in the recesses of my brain growing up, an abandoned dream when I got …

c. Kanye West stole my computer and told the world that my blogs are ok but Dooce has the greatest blogs of all time. And I was speechless.
d. it took three whole months for my creative well to run dry. The result: multiple …

Update: I like sports.

0

It’s hard to be honest about my normal life with some pretty intensely scripted “reality tv” playing in the background, but I’ve given it a shot. The “About” section is now updated. You can tell how much sports has shaped my life by comparing how much I wrote about sports and FSU to how much I wrote about Clayton. It’s a character flaw, and I’m working on it. Thanks again, Tony.

The Death of the Cassette Tape

1

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about those painfully misguided few months when I was seriously considering being a group exercise instructor. Yes, the spandex-wearing, ponytail-bobbing, beat-counting, “come on girls!”-chanting kind. I was under the impression, thanks to well meaning parents and after-school specials, that I could do anything I put my mind to. After I abandoned my English degree and graduated with B.S. in Exercise Science, I was determined to silence the suspicions that I’d regret making that decision for …
